Pruning Basics

There exists a narrowly defined “right way” to prune a tree. Conversely and unfortunately there is a very broad definition to the “wrong way” to prune a tree. Ultimately each time a tree is pruned it creates a wound. Pruning should really only be done when necessary to avoid excessive damage to the tree.

A note on our estimates; time is the most valuable currency – we value yours and in exchange for ours, we do charge in-person estimate fees. These will start at $30 for an hour of on-site consultation as our staff will be able to share quite a bit of information. If you decide to contract further services that initial consultation fee will be deducted from the final invoice. However, if you simply take our advice and implement suggestions on your own, that’s great too! We want the best for you and your plants.
